Access to Remedy through international NJGMs

This short online course will provide participants with a solid introduction into the business and human rights framework and international non-judicial grievance mechanisms. This course further aims to enhance the knowledge of the participants about specifically the complaint mechanisms associated with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and development finance institutions that can be used to obtain remedy for business-related human rights abuses.

After the course participants are able to argue to what extent a company is responsible for adverse human rights impacts and understand whether filing a complaint with an international grievance mechanisms is likely to be a promising intervention strategy for obtaining remedy in a particular case.
